Capturing Audio/Video (cont.)
My settings:
- I used to capture at 480x480 (SVCD resolution) which dvdauthor treated as 704x480, but now capture at 704x480, thus my menus are created at 704x480.
- Bit rates of 4.5Mb/s with a peak of 6Mb/s gives 2.2GB per hour. Usually 2 hours per DVD.
- Bit rates of 4.25Mb/s with a peak of 5.75Mb/s gives 2.1GB per hour. Guaranteed 2 hours per DVD.
- I use the record-v4l2.pl script I created for the ivtv project which attempts to be generic for any v4l2 device, but takes full advantage of the ivtv features.
